Welcome to the AmeriCorps Program!
The AmeriCorps program at Sea Mar Community Health Centers is a national service program that places members in various direct-service positions throughout Sea Mar and partner clinics.
Members serve for eleven months and receive a living stipend as well as an educational award at the end of their term of service. Other benefits include health insurance and, if eligible, child-care assistance. Finally, members gain valuable experience toward a future career in the field of health care.
All available AmeriCorps positions require fluency in English, and some require fluency in a second language including, Spanish, Chinese, Vietnamese or Russian. AmeriCorps members must be 18 years of age with a high school diploma or GED, and must be citizens, lawful residents, or nationals of the United States.
